Do's and Donts while Trekking

Before visiting any fort you should understand that they hold memories of our ancestors and are very important places of history. Most forts in Maharashtra hold memories of "Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj".

Below you will get the list of Do's and Don'ts you should follow .

Do's:

  1. Take photos of carvings and other sculptures on the fort as its something that won't remain forever.
  2. Keep the forts clean. If you find some plastic bottles or any trash that is non-degradable, carry it in a bag and then dump it in our city dustbins.
  3. Wear clothes that will keep you camouflaged in the forest.
  4. Leave markings on stones at places where you think trekkers might get lost.

Dont's:

  1. If at some places photography is not allowed, you should not click photos.
  2. Ensure that you do not pollute such places by leaving trash behind. Leave nothing but your footsteps.
  3. DO NOT wear anything funky that might attract wild animals. And don't tease wild animals if you encounter any, they are living in their natural habitat.... Think about in this way: Would you like if they come to your house and start doing random stuff??
  4. Don't make random marking on trees or the structures on the fort saying that you Love someone. That will make you look nothing but Stupid.
Instead go and tell the concerned person that you love him/her.
  5. Do not drink/smoke on forts if you are camping. Such places must be treated with the highest level of respect.
effectively is also an important step while preparing for a trek. Most people, pack their backpack in a hurry and end up not taking the essentials. Ranger Rolling clothes can help you save upto 40% of space in your backpack. Here is a video of how you can Ranger Roll a T-Shirt.
