Permission from forest department at Vasota?

Im XYZ from ABC Company,  we are planning a trek to Vasota. I just happened to see your blog and  wants to collect more information on this
Here are few questions

We are a group of 30 ppl , Will we get permission from forest authorities??
Do we need to climb any big mountain?? Will it be very hard for girls??
Do wild animals really exists there and if yes how careful should we be while venturing out in the forest?

Can you give me your contact number?  I want to talk with you regarding this.

Answer

Hi,
Yes, you do need to take permission from the forest department at Bamnoli. Bamnoli is the base village for Vasota fort. Please carry some identification proof as that is mandatory for taking permission.
The forest department will also make you sign a bond of Indemnity from you.

Yes, the trek is quite tiring but you should be able to do it. Its mostly walking for long distance and no steep patches.
Girls can complete the trek, but I hope you guys have practice of trekking.

Yes, wild animals do exist there, we had seen Bear marks on a tree at Vasota

The best way to keep animals away are listed below

  • Stay in  a pack
  • Talk loudly and always make noise while walking.
  • If unfortunately, you do encounter a wild animal
Do not run. Stand your ground and make as much noise as possible. Ensure that everyone from your group does the same.
