I read your blog regarding information of Rajgad Fort. Actually our group of 6 people(4 boys and 2 girls) are planning for 1 day Rajgad Trek. So I want some information related to Car parking and route. We are planning to go via Pali Village., So parking will be available there., right.? Also This route is not much tough., right.? Also How much time it will take for us to reach top of the fort and for coming down.? I'm concerned because we have two girls in our group.
And what about Lunch.? What can we get on the Fort.? I read on your page that we'll get food items on Padmavati Temple., but we will be going via Pali Darwaja route. So can we get anything to eat at Ballekilla..???
Parking is available at the base village of Rajgad. You might have to park in some ones yard, but that is ok.
Route via Pali is easy, not that tough and it will take approximately 3 hours to reach to the top and 1 hour 30mins to come down.
Considering that there are girls in your group, I think it might take half an hour extra. But remember to lift up the spirits of the folks who get tired. Once you get the momentum going, everything falls in place.
Try to take more guys in the group. I would recommend atleast 7-8 guys if there are girls in your group.
Even if you go via Pali Darwaja, you can head left from there and go to Padmavati temple which is just 10mins from Pali darwaja . At Balekilla there is nothing available.
